Shiloh National Military Park

Site of the first major battle of the Civil War in the west and one of the most costly to both sides, the Shiloh National Park offers much to learn. There is a 10 mile self-guided tour with numbered markers indicating 14 points of interest, the 10 acre National Cemetery where 3,800 soldiers are buried, and at the visitors center, you will find museum exhibits, a 20 minute historical film and a bookstore.
