Andrew Johnson National Historic Site

Monument Ave., Greenville, TN
www.nps.gov/anjo

Originally from Raleigh, NC, Andrew Johnson came to Greenville in 1826 after serving in local, state and federal government. At the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site you can visit his grave and the house where he and his family lived when he was not in government office. The house is furnished with Johnson family heirlooms.

Not far from the historic site (101 College Street) is a park area and campground as well as a visitors center where you will find the Johnson tailor shop, and a museum with exhibits and memorabilia related to President Johnson’s career.
